Most construction back offices type the same numbers five times — estimate, contract, change order, billing, invoice. Flywheell built one platform that types them once.
The bottleneck
A construction contractor was running estimating, contracts, submittals, and AIA progress billing across disconnected spreadsheets. Every stage meant re-typing the same numbers — and every re-key was a chance to be wrong. Progress billing (the AIA G702/G703 dance) was assembled by hand in Excel: slow, error-prone, and painful to reconcile at month-end.
What we built
One platform that carries a job from bid to billing — designed around how the contractor actually works, not how generic software assumes they do:
- Pipeline, estimating, contracts, and submittals in a single system of record.
- A Schedule of Values that generates itself from the won contract — no rebuilding it in Excel.
- Change orders that flow straight into billing, keeping every downstream number in sync.
- AIA-style G702/G703 documents and invoices produced with one click, matching what's on screen to the cent.
The results
No re-keying, no month-end spreadsheet reconciliation, and AIA paperwork that used to take hours now a button. On a live $1.1M base contract, change orders and progress billing run entirely through auto-generated documents that reconcile exactly.
